People Challenge
The Searching 4 Inspiration Challenge for december is "People". It may be a formal portrait, a street scene, an absract, a sport or action shot - anything so long as it features people. (Please let's not have family shots that mean a lot to the photographer and their friends/family but have no meaning for anyone else though.) It is about inspiring others.

Black and White Challenge Results
Now the nominations are all in for the Searching 4 Inspiration Black and White challenge we can see what a fantastic set of images were submitted. Just about every image in the gallery got some nominations and there was no soar away leader. I think it is one of those times when everyone can feel positive about the outcomes.
The image that just edged it in terms of the most nominations was Round and Round by James Drury . This was very closely followed by a number of images - Riders on the Storm by Ian Johnston, Droplets Suspended in a Dandelion by Daniel Rice, Almondell by David Dunn and Spin the Wheel by P Morgan.
People were kind enough to send it constructive comments on a number of the images. Here's what was sent in to us

Droplets Suspended in a Dandelion by Daniel Rice
I love this photo. The beautiful soft tones of the dandelions with their gentle movement are complemented wonderfully by the few vivid droplets. The lighting is superb. Magical.

it is a stuuning image of a common subject that is so often overlooked.
Round & Round by James Drury
Strong subject matter combined with a great sky and light and a superb sense of movement make this a captivating photo.

while I wouldn't normally go for such high contrasts (personally) there is something about Round and Round by James Drury which I rather like:-)
oustanding in how it brings out emotions
Surf's Up by malc!
Lovely contrasts in this picture. The crashing waves boil as they break whilst the Windsurfer appears to be in an world of tranquility further out to sea.

Black and White Challenge
Starting with a general challenge to get everyone in the mood - Black and White. The idea is to show us an image that you have taken that shows the benefits of being in Black and White. It can be any subject matter but should only be in Black and White ( no colour popping please !).
To enter the challenge simply add your image to an e-mail with this challenge in the subject box and post it with a few details of the photo and, if you would like, a bit about yourself. You might for example want to give a hyperlink to your website or photoblog if you have one.

Meet Up Challenge
Fancy meeting up with other photographers for a shoot ? We will be setting various face to face challenges in the near future. In each we will give you a time and location and ask you to interpret a chosen theme at that meet up. We will then create a gallery of the outcomes, with the chance for you to comment on the day, your image and the work of others.
In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for a suitable "Meet up" location, let us know b7y clicking the submit button.
